Prior ta opening the <br />�ear'rng, staff will present gent�ral infor�nation regarding constructiQn, standards, and assessmenis <br />ti�at appXy �'ar this p�ojeci. <br />We have held faur in%rmatian meetings with �roperty owners regarding i�is project since Juz�e <br />2QOS. We have worked t�rough a nurnber of differenf issues in regards to the proposed street <br />para�ject. In the develop�aent oii�e feasibility report, staff has tried t4 consistently apply City policy <br />as it rega�'ds to assessz�ez�ts and street constr�.tction_ <br />Since this is a joi�� project with �'alcon Hezgl�ts, a separate public haari�zg rvi11 be held at thaix City <br />Co�ncil z�z�eetizags on January 11 and 2St�. In order to �ove £arward with th� reconstruction as <br />propo�ed, both councils need to approve the project. <br />�pecial Canside�rai�a�s: Every road praject zs unique. Tl�e £eas�bxlzty report disc�sses many af the <br />issues that 5fiaff has been working on with the neighborhaod. Here is a summary af tl�e <br />recommendatians. <br />Road Ali n� nzent: Curren�Iy the road is ali�ned strazgk�t easi west along ihe Rosevilie/ Falcon <br />Heigh�s City Border. Techn�eally ihe jurisc�iction �'or this road runs dawx� 1I�e cent�r of the e�istzz�g <br />pavezxaent. The �ropased s�reet and sidewalk wi11 widen the paved area vvithin �he right- oi way. <br />Currently this is 32 feet wide. We are propasing to cbnstruct a 34 f4at wide street wi�h a sidewalk. <br />This wi�l wid.en t�.e irav�l�d way by I O�'eet. We propose to waden the taraveled way equally an both <br />sides af the street i�a ord�r to spread t�e i�aapac� of the widez�zng to bath Roseville and �alcon Heights <br />residents. <br />PaYkin : We are propasing ta �ave parking on the north side, and the sidewalk on tne south side. <br />Thzs will provide a bui�er for hornes on both sides of the street from the cars traveling nn fihe <br />road. <br />Sidewalk: Raselawz� Avenue between Fulham St�'eet and Victoria Street has sidewaIks with �he <br />e�cept�oz� a�t�e �aile long segmen� betwee� Snelling Avenue arzd Lexington AveYUe.
