NTr. <br />Schwartz noted �hat staff used the standa�ds ou�iined in the <br />Manual on Unifo�rzn '�raffic Control Devices for a guideline in <br />dete�mining where signs �re required, where they're optional and <br />znake judgments based on safety, puvlie requests using those <br />na�ional standards, wiih siight varzations as adopted by the State a£ <br />M�nnesota. <br />Diseu�sion ensued regarding placement o� sxgnage; unintend�d <br />consequ�nces; delegation to sta£� £ox szgnage; and whethe� �he <br />resolution should be cod'zfied as an �dditional sec�tion in C�apter <br />602 of City Code. <br />Councilmember Maschka opzned that the Ci�y Counci� had <br />direc�ed sta�'f at a past mee�ing to ins�all temporary "No Park�ng" <br />signs in the area xdentif ed. <br />Mayor Klausing d'rrecied staff to proeeed wzth a Request for <br />Councz� Aetion �or codif eation as outlineci; continue to nanaie <br />signage as done zn past practice; and opined that the Cauncil <br />eonsensus was that �he City Council previous�y authorized staff to <br />install �empora�y "No Parking" signs a� discussed. <br />S.
