D ate: 02.127/OG <br />Iie�n: 5,b <br />Wamen's History Month <br />� � <br />� <br />Women's History Month <br />March 2006 <br />Whereas: t�e City of Roseville is committed to recognizing and honoring cantributions of <br />all members of our caminunity; and <br />Whereas: Women's History Week was e5tablished in 19'7S to promote women's historical <br />achievements; and <br />Whereas: In 1980 the Joint Cangressional Resolution declared the week of March $ as <br />National Women's Histary Week, and in 1987 Congress expanded the ceIebration ofwoinen's <br />contributions to the enfiire month of March; and <br />Whereas: The mavement recognizes and celebrates womer�'s coniri�utions to the world; and <br />Wl�ereas: The 2006 Natianal Wome�'s History Month thet�e "Women: Builders of <br />Corr�munities and Dreams Change America" honors the spirit of po�sibility and ho�e set in <br />motion by generations of worrien in their creation of communities and their encouragement of <br />dreams; and <br />Whereas: "Wamen: B�zilders of Carrimunities and Dreams Change America" brings <br />communities together and restares hope in the face of impossible odds.
