Mr. Bergman, <br />in iight of hi� family's participation in an upcoming 4-H project, <br />asked that the City Council not limit his livelihood. <br />Ray Pugh, 2�66 Marion Street <br />Mr. Pugh brought to the City Council's attention the <br />comprehensive edueational benefit to yaung people in obtaining <br />life science experience through school project� and their future <br />skill develapment in biotechnology f elds, currently being <br />e�nphasized by state and federal offieials; spoke in support af the <br />experiences; and cautioned the Council's atiempts to limit that <br />education. <br />Mike Wybierala, 237 County Road B W <br />Mr. Wybierala, a bee keeper, noted that at the time he b�gan <br />raising them, there vvas no ordinance; and he'd experienced no <br />problems un�il a tax assessor reviewed his property and �ent a <br />letter enforcing removal of the bees due to iheir danger to young <br />children. Mr. Wybierala noted his disappaintment in this <br />requiremeni; noted his invo�vement with the Nature Centear and <br />the State Fair; and expressed his willingness to assist the City <br />with this i�sue. <br />Steve CarIson, 1770 Lydia <br />Mr. Carlson provided pictures testifying to the developmental <br />behavior and educational experiences children achieved in <br />observing chickens; and asked that the Council not put <br />para�neters an that education. <br />Todd Whi�e, 477 Woodhil� Drive <br />Mr. White noted that the City's Nature Cenfiear had three bee <br />colonies; and cited ihe public misperceptians regarding honey <br />bees and wasps. <br />Dennis Dietzel, 2954 Hamline <br />Mr. Dietzel, as a beekeep�r, opined that his neighbors were <br />unanimously appreciative of the bees on his prop�rty, especially <br />flower growers. <br />Mayar Klausing thanked the public for their comments and <br />
