I have not had any complains that I am aware of on my rental unit. I believe it is well taken care of.
However, I sense residents of owner homes are more likely to complain about rental homes. The
tenants are relatively short term and they rarely get to know the neighbors. People in owner homes
have much more tolerance of other owner problems because they don't like to cause problems with
people they rus live near for long periods of time. In light of this I think there will be a slightly
higher complaint rate on rental homes.
, 1 think city codes should be updated to address complaints about grass, cars, overcrowding, unfinished
houses, and junk. The codes should apply to the exterior of both rental and owner homes. This would
improve Roseville's housing stock on a much bigger scale than just an ordinance aimed at 400 rental
units.
Monte Smith
3vK r' ;;'tiil
