Steerin� Committee <br />� Made up of � individuals recommended by Working Group and appointed <br />by the Council <br />* Purpose: Together with the outside consultant, help coordinate the work of <br />the Subcommittees and serve as a liaison group between the Council, staff <br />and Subcommittees and assist in the coordination of the final report. <br />2. Brainstormin� Sessions <br />v The Council will sponsor two brainstorming sessions at which citizens will <br />identify the broad topic areas that they wish to address through the <br />Visioning process. <br />� Broad a���ouz�cez�e���,�l��v�tat�an� to the community to participate — goal of <br />300 participants. <br />� Two dates <br />o Etectronic participation encouraged. <br />• Each participant will be encouraged to applylca�plete statement of interest <br />for one of the resulting Subcommittees through a standardized, brief <br />application process. <br />3. Leadershio of each Subcommittee <br />* One Council member appointed as liaison — doesn't serve directly on the <br />Subcommittee <br />* One Advisory Commission ChairlDesignee or other citizen— specific to interest area <br />— named as Temporary Chair to organize and �e�d the first meeting of the <br />Subcommittee. <br />} At first meeting, each Subcommittee will elect its own chair from its members. <br />Can be, but not limited to, the Temporary Chair. <br />5. Membershi� of each Subcommittee <br />* 10-�15 citizens — at least 5 of which represent specific community organizations who <br />will agree to solicit input from the organization (Examples: NSSC, Roseville <br />Citizens League, Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions, faith community groups, PTSAs, School <br />District, County, LWV, organizations representing coi�nm�.u'iities of color (not limited <br />to ABE, ESL, others), Retired Teachers Assoc., governing boards at senior living <br />facilities, business leaders, Gavel Club, student leadership organizations <br />(co�legeslRAHS}, new residents, etc.) <br />
