Steerin� Committee � Made up of � individuals recommended by Working Group and appointed by the Council * Purpose: Together with the outside consultant, help coordinate the work of the Subcommittees and serve as a liaison group between the Council, staff and Subcommittees and assist in the coordination of the final report. 2. Brainstormin� Sessions v The Council will sponsor two brainstorming sessions at which citizens will identify the broad topic areas that they wish to address through the Visioning process. � Broad a��ouz�cez�e��,�l��v�tat�an� to the community to participate — goal of 300 participants. � Two dates o Etectronic participation encouraged. • Each participant will be encouraged to applylca�plete statement of interest for one of the resulting Subcommittees through a standardized, brief application process. 3. Leadershio of each Subcommittee * One Council member appointed as liaison — doesn't serve directly on the Subcommittee * One Advisory Commission ChairlDesignee or other citizen— specific to interest area — named as Temporary Chair to organize and �e�d the first meeting of the Subcommittee. } At first meeting, each Subcommittee will elect its own chair from its members. Can be, but not limited to, the Temporary Chair. 5. Membershi� of each Subcommittee * 10-�15 citizens — at least 5 of which represent specific community organizations who will agree to solicit input from the organization (Examples: NSSC, Roseville Citizens League, Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions, faith community groups, PTSAs, School District, County, LWV, organizations representing coi�nm�.u'iities of color (not limited to ABE, ESL, others), Retired Teachers Assoc., governing boards at senior living facilities, business leaders, Gavel Club, student leadership organizations (co�legeslRAHS}, new residents, etc.)
