Chosen �x• Steering Committee from written applications/statements of interest <br />submitted by participants at Brainstorming Sessions. Emphasis on diversity, <br />broad community input and opportunities for those who haven't been involved in <br />the past — Each citizen can be a member of only one Subcommittee; organizations <br />can be represented on more than one Subcommittee but by different individuals. <br />Each member has one vote and opportunity for discussion input pursuant to <br />protocols adopted by subcommittee as a whole. <br />Public observers —unlimited numbers with i«� v«[ti and with limited opportunity <br />for input pursuant to protocols adopted by Subcommittee as a whole. <br />6. Deliverables from each Subcommittee <br />• 3-5 public meetings, properly noticed for public inp��ldiscussion, with input via <br />technology allowed and encouraged <br />. Draft written report containing agreed-upon goals and measurable action items <br />agreed to by Subcommittee and designed to achieve eac�. defined goal <br />• Timeline for accomplishing action items (short and long term) <br />7. Role for Facilitator(s) <br />. Paid Facilitator <br />� Run the Brainstorming Sessions <br />■ Consult with Steering Committee and Subcommittee chairs regarding <br />assistance needed <br />■ Take drafts of Subcommittees' written reports and combine into final <br />report <br />� Other duties as assigned <br />Volunteer Facilitators <br />s Volunteers identified through LWV members, other experienced <br />meeting facilitators (schooldistrict staff, other citizens} <br />■ Neutral monitors for Subcommittee meetingsl help insure public input <br />8. Role of Staff <br />. Through Council liaisons as communicated through City Manager, will take <br />direction to provide information for Subcommittees. <br />. If staff is overwhelmed with requests for information as a result of the <br />Community Visioning process, Council will work with City Manager to <br />manage existing workload. <br />Will not be expected to attend every Subcommittee session but, if requested <br />by Council liaison through City Manager, will be available to attend upon <br />request if normal workload duties allow for such. <br />9. Timeline <br />• Steering Committee appointments made by April 10 <br />• Brainstorming Sessions held by May 15 <br />• Temporary Subcommittee chairs chosen by May 15 <br />• Subcommittee members chosen by May 22 <br />• First Subcommittee meetings noticed and held in June, others at least monthly <br />• Draft of reports done and turned over to Facilitator for final drafting — Oct. 15 <br />• Facilitator fmishes draft and reports to Council — Nov. 15 <br />3 <br />
