City Council Study Session — 03/�4/06 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 15 <br />issues in Roseville (i.e., affordability, neighborhood <br />balance and changes, life cycle housing, diversity, lot size <br />and redevelopment standards, ���1�� development, design <br />standards and open space). <br />HRA Chairperson Bill Majerus and HRA Board Member Jill <br />Bean were also present and concurred with Ms. Bennett's <br />presentation and comments. <br />Councilmember Pust provided a copy of the third draft as <br />prepared by the Council Subcommittee (Councilmembers Ihlan, <br />Maschka and Pust), of the Community Visioning Proposal to Mr. <br />Nlajerus for HRA review and comment. <br />Discussion included consideration of all rentals no mater how <br />many units; whether to look at the maintenance code again as <br />issues arise, independent of and in conjunction with the proposed <br />rental licensing program; and reallocation of HRA funds to assist <br />the City Council with a broader vision of housing, whether <br />through supportive services to the Community Development <br />Department or through supporting the Community Visioning <br />process. <br />6. Discuss Roseville Visitors Association (RVA) Initiative to <br />Change the Name of Certain County Roads and Naming <br />Options <br />Dino LoBaido, RVA Executive Director, presented a proposal <br />from the RVA to change the name of certain County roads to <br />become more community-oriented. <br />Mr. LoBaido provided a Bench Handout for Council reference; <br />and outlining this RVA initiative. <br />Mr. LoBaido reviewed the function of the RVA as an <br />organization to promote Roseville as a destination for tourism <br />and business; and to continue to elevate the aesthetic value of <br />Roseville with its perfect positioning between the Cities of <br />Minneapolis and St. Paul, in addition to Roseville amenities. <br />Mr. LoBaido proposed the goal of the RVA was to rename <br />County Roads B, B-2, C, and C-2; with County Road D under <br />�.oseville Visitors <br />Association (RVA) <br />Initiative to Change <br />the Name of <br />Certain County <br />Roads and Naming <br />Options <br />
