[DATE]
Business
Manager
Address
Roseville, MN 55113
Dear Manager:
As you know, the City of Roseville has an ordinance prohibiting the sale of any alcoholic
beverage to persons under the age of 21 years. A copy of that ordinance is enclosed for your
review. Please note on page four of the local ordinance, where minimum penalties are
stipulated.
On , an employee of your store sold an alcoholic beverage to a
minor in violation of the attached ordinance. Because of this violation a I-day suspension of
sale of alcoholic beverage products is required. I have chosen as the day
your business is suspended from selling or serving any alcoholic beverages.
In addition, those establishmentsfound in violation of the ordinance are offered the opportunity
of a hearing before the City Manager and receiving a license suspension. The purpose of the
hearing, therefore, would be to consider any irregularities in the enforcement process.
If you prefer to waive this hearing, you may indicate on the appropriate line listed below.
I waive my right to a hearing before the City Manager and accept
the suspension date listed above.
I request a hearing before the City Manager to assure he knows
and understands extenuating circumstances involved.
There are two copies of this letter. One copy is for your records, and the second copy must be
returned no later than seven days of receipt.
Finally, please be advised that if another violation should occur, further penalties will be
invoked. If you have any questions, you can reach me at 792-7204.
Sincerely,
C.M. Sletner
Chief of Police
Enclosure
