The i'WET Commission advises the City <br />Council, City Manager and Director of Public Works on public worlcs, <br />environmental and transportation matters. The Commission maintains an interest in <br />and an understanding of the Public Worlts Department and in federal, state, county, <br />regional and other services that impact the City's public works functions. <br />Commissioners are appointed to three year terms and are eligible to serve up to <br />two consecutive full terms. When a person resigns in mid-term the City Council <br />appoints someone to fill out the term. This term expires March 31,2008. <br />Council Action Requested: <br />Direct staff to advertise for applications to serve on the Public Worlts, <br />Environment and Transportation Commission with applications due to the City by <br />June 2. Staff would bring forward names for the June 12 Council meeting. <br />
