r I <br />.=frr�� f;������ � ,,�,,r�.,��:rv <br />Work Experience: Since 1991, 1. have owned and operated Park Genealogical Rooks, specializing in <br />local and fa��aly history for Minnesota and the surrounding area. My business has been located in <br />Roseville for 7 years. I edit and publish tl�e Minnesota GenealogicalJournal, a se�rii-annual publication <br />with I00 pages of records extracted a��d transcribed by researchers around the statc. We have an <br />u��b��oker� record of 14 years of publication without missing either aiZ issue or a deadline. In addition, I <br />speak at conferences and am currently researching the economic impact of tl�e Dakota Conflict of 1862. <br />Prior to this, I worked eight years as a Project Manager installing large computer systems at <br />Northwestern National Life �z�su����ta�ace Company in Minneapolis, working with management, clerical <br />staff and IT personnel to develop svorlcable schedules for success. I also served on the corporate <br />committee to tra�zsforrn the corporate structure frorn half mutual �nd half stock to an entirely stock <br />company. That company has since been sold and renamed. Prior to that, I worked nine years as a <br />Project Manager and Product Manager at Western Life Insurance Company (similarresponsibilities) <br />These experiences have allowed ine to build my skills in organizing and scheduling multi-dimensional <br />projects, encouraging participation fi-o�x� all, and building com.�initment to shared goals with people <br />f�-orn unskilled levels to top leadership. <br />Education: <br />✓ Attended several courses designed for Planning Commissioners sponsored by Government Training <br />Services <br />✓ M.S. Curriculum rir:�r Instruction, University of Minnesota, with minor in speech <br />� B.S. Spanish Education, University of Minnesota, with minor in English <br />� C.L.U. az�d �'.�.ivI.I./Masters while working for the life insurance companies <br />Civic and Volunteer Activities: <br />f Curr�ntiy in second term as Planning Commissioner for the City of Roseville, and chair oCt�e <br />Roseville Variance Board <br />`� Chaired the Friends of Lexington Park from 1987 until appointed to the Planning Commission, and <br />worked witl� the neighborhood, city staff and the council in developing this Park. I also attended <br />�nany meetings of the council ;ti�i�� various commissions from 1987-2Q02, when the park was <br />dedicated. (It is a joy to see it used by so mai-�y throughout the entire year.) <br />✓ Executive producer of the videotape Reaaae�nbering Roseville, for Rose�ille's 50"' birthday celebration. <br />✓ Served on the Economic Develop�T�ef�t com�niLtee for VIS`7['A 2000 <br />✓ Served on the board and as program chair for the Roseville Historical Society <br />� Developed the volunteer Genealogy Help Desk for the Minnesota Historical Society, and have <br />served on it each iaTeek for I2+ years. I a�n currently also volunteering I`or the processing <br />department of the Minnesota State Archives in sorting and describing records. <br />✓ In 2005 1 served as co-chair for t��e 125"' birthday celebration of the Hainline United Methodist <br />Church, and am currently writii�g the history. I regularly volunteer in different capacities for my <br />church. <br />
