Councilmember Pust offered her suggestions as a starting point, noting she had talked to each of the individuals and they had expressed their willingness to serve; and sought additional names from Councilmembers. Discussion included the purpose of the steering committee to provide logistical support and oversight of the two anticipated brainstorming sessions and of the subcommittees with preferred involvement of the entire community in the brainstorming sessions to define the community's issues; Council involvement and role in the brainstorming sessions; and specific Council intespretation of how to seek steering committee members. �ounci?mem�er Ihlan spoke in support of an open application process following normal procedure. Ihlan moved, Kough seconded, authorizing staff to advertise for applicants from all Roseville residents who are interested in serving on the steering committee. Public Comment John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street Mr. Kysylyczyn referenced the standing resolution on the appointment process for committees; noting that the proposed recommendation would not be in line with past practice. Councilmember Kough questioned several of the members suggested by Councilmember Pust for the steering committee, given their cu�-arent involvement with the City (i.e., Mark Traynor as Planning Commission Chair and Bill Majerus as a School Board member and HRA Chair); and spoke in support of the motion to seek citizen application and expertise.
