We have the approval of the <br />DNR to conduct a controlled burn while the t�urni�g restrictions are in place. Included <br />with this letter is a copy of the DNR approved bum plan. Controlled burning is a <br />valuable management tool that enhances native plant communities. Our managers are <br />trained to use this vitally-importantprocedure, which no other service can replicate. Fire- <br />dependent native species respond favorably to the effects of fire, while undesirable <br />exotics do not. It is for this reason we request that a burn permit be issued to allow us to <br />b�rn the Owasso Heights Town Home Prairie.
