Objectives or Action Steps <br />To achieve this goal (or some revised one), we have tentatively identified the following <br />objectives or action steps that might be needed. They include: <br />1) Become engaged in a dialogue between elected officials at all levels of government and <br />the League of Minnesota Cities regarding transportation issues. <br />2) Share the Council's goal with staff and authorize City's Management Team to assist in <br />moving this goal through peer organizations and interactions with staff of other <br />government entities. <br />3) Clarify transportation goals and action plans for the City of Roseville to align with the <br />Council's vision for the future of the community. <br />4) Work toward full funding of transportation plans through local support, seeking of grants, <br />and challenging elected officials at other levels of government to support transportation <br />through funding legislation. <br />Certainly other action steps may need to be identified to give greater clarity to the goal, <br />With these action steps, the City will demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of life <br />for all its residents and visitors. These actions will support the overall vision for the community <br />and surrounding area. <br />Final Comments <br />Staff welcomes Council input and direction on defining the goal and actions steps above. Staff <br />will be available during the meeting to answer any questions. <br />� <br />
