City Council Regular Meeting — 06/12/06 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 22 <br />11,b Request of Councilmember Ihlan: Determine how the <br />recently-adopted State Legislation related to Eminent <br />Domain would impact the Twin Lakes Redevelopment <br />Proj ect <br />Councilmember Ihlan deferred discussion of this item <br />until the proposed Special Session to discuss pending <br />litigation regarding Twin Lakes. <br />ll.c Request of Councilmember Kough: Authorizing him <br />to continue working with various Roseville service <br />organizations to pursue new "Welcome to Roseville" <br />signage; with consideration regarding their <br />authorization and installation by the City Council at a <br />later date. <br />Councilmember Kough expressed concern that support <br />from the civic organizations was waning without Council <br />support for the srgnage. <br />Mayor Klausing spoke in support of the signs, but noted <br />previous concerns addressed regarding maintenance; <br />placement; replacement in case of vandalism or normal <br />wear and tear; budget implications for maintenance <br />andlor replacement; and opined that the community <br />visioning process seemed an appropriate place for citizen <br />discussion. <br />Mayor Klausing committed to Councilmember Kough <br />that action by the Council would be taken regarding the <br />"Welcome to Roseville" signage before year-end <br />Councilmember Pust requested copies of the proposed <br />designs previously prepared for information to be <br />provided for the community visioning process for citizen <br />reaction.
