EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City of Roseville, County <br />of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on Monday, the 1 D�'' day of <br />July, 2006, at 6:0� p.m. <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />Resolution No. �.XX <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT FOR CENTRAL COMMUNITY HOUSING TRUST <br />APPLICATION FOR MINNESOTA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY FUNDS IN 2006 <br />FOR THE REHABILITATION OF HAR MAR APARTMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments, located at 2225 Snelling Avenue in the City of <br />Roseville was identified by the City as an apartment complex in need of renovation; and <br />WHEREAS, the property, with a 50% vacancy rate and deferred maintenance, is <br />struggling in the market place and in need of reinvestment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments is in need of moderate to substantial rehabilitation, <br />as well as new marketing and management strategy; and <br />WHEREAS, Central Community Housing Trust, a reputable Twin Cities affordable <br />housing developer proposed to renovate the property and build new units at the site in Roseville <br />with a miY of affordable and work force housing options. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Roseville hereby supports <br />and strongly recommends funding to Central Community Housing Trust for the rehabilitation of <br />the Har Mar Apartments with the goal to renovate the existing unit miY and make considerable <br />improvements to the building exteriors, add landscaping, recreation areas, and significantly <br />improve the curb appeal to convey current apartment community trends. <br />Adopted by the Roseville City Council this l Oth clay of July, 2006. <br />
