A. Notvvithstandingthe provisions of section 407.06 of this chapter, city officers <br />c�arged witk� enforceme:�t of this chapter shall foliow the acceleratedprocedure <br />described below for abating accun:�ulations of snow and ice under subsection <br />4A7.Q3A of this chapter and tall grasses, n.uisance weeds and other vegetative growth ' <br />under subsection 407.OZC of this chapter. y' <br />1. Notice of Violation: Whenever the officer charged with enforcement determines <br />that a nuisance proscribed under subsection 407.03A or �t07.�2C of this chapter is <br />b�ing maintained or exists on premises in the city, written notice by certified first- <br />class mail shall be provided to the praperty owner or accupant. if the premises are <br />not accupied and the ownear is not knavvn, the notice may be served by posting it on <br />the premises. The certi�`ied notice shall specify the nuisance to he abated, that the <br />nuisance must be abated within %ve {5) working days, and that if the nuisance is nat <br />abated witi�in five {5} working days, that the city will have the nuisance abated and <br />tl�e cost o£ abate�ent cer�i�ed against the properiy for colIection with taxes. <br />2. Abatement by City: If the owner or occupant fails ta camply with the certified <br />mail notiee, within five (5) days, the city shall provide for abatement of the nuisance. <br />The off cer charged with enforcement shalI keep records of the cost of abatement and <br />shail provide this information to the city manager for assessment against the properry <br />pursuant to section 407.07 of this chapter. {Ord. 1225, 7-12-�.999) <br />��� <br />
