�"��=`� �{�. `�� �:va� u �ti� ����.� ��i e� Pr+����� <br />�.} <br />The OVAL Task Force was a process under constant scrutiny, continual review and detailed evaluation. <br />The Task Force was re�ponsible for a two-part delivery, community based recommendations to the City <br />Governing Council an an achievable operations and financial system. Task Force events and reports <br />were reviewed and evaluated both internally and externally as all materials were made available on line <br />for community evaluation and comment and all meetings were open to the public as well as video taped <br />for those wishing to review the proceedings. Task Force representatives regularly updated Council, local <br />commissions, school board, and affiliated groups. <br />The Task Force made many significant recommendations, among them was the implementation of a <br />Skating Center Advisory Committee. This group of user representatives, community members and <br />business leaders evaluate operations, track recommendations and report outcomes. This group is the eyes <br />and ears of the us�r community and has t�e undivided attention of facility management. This group has <br />the ability to make high expectations happen. This group will transform a great paper document into a <br />executable managerial plan. This group of eighteen very talented, very diverse <br />individuals gave over 500 hours of time over a 15 week period. They brou�ht passion, business sense, <br />sporting experience, co�petitive drive, creativity, camaraderie, �aiti��1 sawy and dedicationto the table. <br />They produced a quality management tool. They responded to the community and to community leaders. <br />They rallied supporters and recruited new advocates. <br />The OVAL Task Force asked difficult questions and needed to make some unpopular recommendations, <br />the Task Force was an intense community experience. In the end, the Task Force produced a document <br />that serves as a working guide for facility management and an operational tool for City administration. <br />The Task Force ended with the acceptance of the Final Report by the Roseville City CounciL From the <br />process and in light of the recommendations a Skating Center AdvisoryCommitteewas formed in <br />October 2005 to evaluate Skating Center operations, track Task Force recon��te�datio�zs and report <br />outcomes back to Roseville City Council and Roseville Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />2006 MRPA Award of Excellence <br />Roseville Skating Center/O t�,4� Task Force <br />
