I believe that
public management experience is important, however, private sector management experience can
be beeticial as well
• Search firms are expensive, take a lot of staff time, and don't understand City needs as well as
staff. Richard 'ursman — Ex- Maplewood City Manager — 4 people said this
• Perhaps our Finance Director - 3 people said this
• Terry Schwiim — Shoreview - 2 people said this
• Michelle Wolfe Arden Hills — 2 people said this
* Anne 3lbua-t — CDD at 'lynoth
• Ed Treska — City Adm. - Grand Rapids,
Do you have any further comments?
o Complete process before new council talses over in 2007
'iii;i•-::Ki•,.g•Tr.st;•illltimiislrazinnT=I21CityManagcr!]irins_'1.'.CI'ryr.}•Mgr.ProfileSurveyRES[)LT7-2006-.doc DB
Page 5 of 5
