City Council Regular Meeting — 07/I0/06 <br />Draft Minutes' Page 32 <br />Nays: Maschka and Pust. <br />�Vlavor Klausing called the original motion, as amended: <br />Ihlan moved, Kough seconded, imposition of a mandatory <br />minimum first violation fine of $500, as already prepaid, to <br />the Green Mill Restaurant and Bar, and a one-day license <br />suspension with the date of suspension to be at the <br />discretion of the Police Chief, to be imposed for sale of <br />alcohol to a minor in August of 2005; finding no certain <br />extenuating or aggravating circumstances; and refunding <br />any charitable contribution portions of the fine as <br />applicable. <br />CouncilmemberPust spoke in opposition to the motion. <br />Mayor Klausing spoke in support of the motion; opining <br />that, while the issue should not be before the City Council <br />at this time, given past action, he would apply the law as <br />written. Mayor Klausing sought to trust Chief Sletner's <br />discretion in determining the time of the week for the o�e- <br />day license suspension. <br />CouncilmemberKough spoke in support of the motion. <br />Roll C all <br />Ayes: Kough; Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Nays: Maschka and Pust. <br />8.b Old Chicago Old Chicago <br />Ihlan moved, Kough seconded, imposition of a mandatory <br />minimum first violation fine of $500, as already prepaid, to <br />Old Chicago, and a one-day license suspension with the <br />date of suspension to be at the discretion of the Police <br />Chief, to be imposed for sale of alcohol to a minor in <br />August of 2005; finding no certain extenuating or <br />aggravating circumstances; and refunding any charitable <br />contributionportions of the fine as applicable. <br />Roll C all <br />Ayes: Kough; Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Nays: Maschka and Pust. <br />
