City Council Regular Meeting— 07/10/06 <br />Draft Minutes' Page 33 <br />8.c VFW, Post 7555 <br />Ihlan moved, Kough seconded, imposition of a mandatory <br />minimum first violation fine of $500, as already prepaid, to <br />the VFW Post 7555, and a one-day license suspension with <br />the date of suspension to be at the discretion of the Police <br />Chief, to be imposed for sale of alcohol to a minor in <br />August of 2005; finding no certain extenuating or <br />aggravating circumstances. <br />Councilmember Kough spoke in opposition to the motion, <br />given his interpretation of extenuating circumstances and <br />the level of trust of the server for the undercover officer. <br />Councilmember Ihlan spoke in support of the motion to <br />remain consistent with previous votes. <br />Mayor Klausing spoke in support of the motion; opining <br />that it didn't matter if you were with a police officer or not, <br />underage drinking was not to be tolerated. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Nays: Pust and Kough. <br />�� <br />Recess Recess <br />Mayor Klausing recessed the meeting at approximately 10:28 <br />p.m. and reconvenedat 10:38 p.m. <br />9. Public Hearing for an Off-Sale Liquor License for Roseville <br />Properties at 1955 W County Road B-2 <br />Mayor Klausing called the Public Hearing to order at <br />approximately 14:40 p.m. <br />Finance Director Chris Miller provided a review of the request of <br />Roseville Properties Management Company for an Off-Sale <br />Intoxicating Liquor License, for the property at 1955 W County <br />Road B-2. Mr. Miller noted that, under City Code, Chapter 302, <br />a maximum of ten off-sale intoxicating liquor licenses were <br />allowed; and with the city's nine active licenses, this application <br />represented the tenth and final license available. <br />Public Hearing for <br />an Off-Sale Liquor <br />License for <br />Roseville Properties <br />at 1955 W County <br />Road B-2 <br />
