City Council Regular Meeting — 07/24/06 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 19 <br />the Planning Commission and staff in developing this portion of <br />the code, this exterior finish material on the proposed building <br />could serve as a"poster child" for what the City was trying to <br />eliminate; opining it looked like a pole barn. <br />�4.1� <br />Maschka moved, Ihlan seconded, DENIAL of the request by <br />O'Re�lly Auto Parts, to install Butler Manufacturing pre-finished <br />metal wall panel system as an allowable exterior finish for the <br />proposed site development at 1887 Rice Street, based on City <br />Code Section 1414.Q2(f} and (g), and based on what the <br />applicant was proposing not being similar to other approved <br />materials, due to lack of architectural features, and was more like <br />unpainted galvanized metals; and direct the City Planner to work <br />with the applicant on an allowable exterior finish consistent with <br />City Code, Section 1010.02 of the Roseville City Code. <br />It was Council consensus that the City was not amenable to <br />building of pole barns in the City of Roseville. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Pust; Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />12.
