City Cau�c�t Study Session — 08/21/06 <br />��tAFT Minutes - Page 2 <br />as well as Councilmembers and Interim City Manager Chris Miller; <br />Community Development Director John Starlc; and City Planner <br />Thomas Paschlce. <br />City Council Study Session City Council <br />Mayor Klausing recessed the meeting at 6.20 p.m. and reconvened in Study Session <br />Study Session, the Roseville City Council, at {:3Q p.m. in the City Hall <br />Council Chambers; and welcomed everyone. <br />C�c�sed Executive Session Summary <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson provided a summary of the Executive <br />Session held pursuant to Minnesota Open Meeting Law for discussion <br />of litigation issues subject to a��orn�ylcla�e�� privilege, specifically <br />related to a litigation update regarding Friends of Twin Lalces vs. City <br />of Roseville and Rottlund Homes (Ramsey County District Court File <br />No. C3-OS-44). <br />Mr. Anderson reviewed the purpose of the meeting to hear detailed <br />analysis �ozn Counsel of the recent Court of Appeals findings; <br />affirming in part and reversing in part, Ramsey County District Court <br />findings. Mr. Anderson noted the meeting dealt with strategy <br />discussions; actions available to the City as a result of the Appeals <br />Court decision; and conclusions and strategic directive provided by the <br />City Council to corporate counsel providing Mr. Reuvers with <br />guidance to file a petition for further review of recent court decisions <br />to the Minnesota Supreme Court. <br />Action Item <br />Maschlca moved, Klausing seconded, authorizing LMCIT Counsel, <br />Mr. Reuvers, to file a petition for further review of the recent State of <br />Minnesota Court of Appeals (A05-1770}, Friends of Twin Lalces vs. <br />City of Roseville and Rottlund Homes, et al, by the Minnesota <br />Supreme Court. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Pust; Maschlca and Klausing <br />Nays: Ihlan and Kough. <br />Closed Executive <br />Session Summary <br />1.
