City Council Study Session — 08/21/06 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 3 <br />A, Stewart Shwiff, 1233 Josephine Road <br />Mr. Shwiff expressed concerns with increasing traffic <br />counts and the neighborhood's concerns with today's and <br />future safety and growth, and their desire that County Road <br />C-2 be extended from �'azrview to Victoria Avenues. Mr. <br />Schwiff asked the City Council to consider discussions <br />with Ramsey County to open up County Road C-2 as future <br />development continues in the area. <br />Mayor Klausing recognized Mr. Shwif�'s comments and <br />concerns, noting that the discussion had been held with <br />other residents — both those for and against extending <br />County Road C-2. Mayor Klausing suggested that Mr. <br />Shwiff and interested neighbors meet with Public Works <br />Director Duane Schwartz for more detailed discussions, <br />and for an historical perspective and information related to <br />the roadway. <br />Councilmember Pust volunteered to meet with Mr. Shwiff <br />outside of the meeting, and encouraged Mr. Shwiff to <br />attend one of the more applicable community visioning <br />subcommittees, to alert them to neighborhood concerns. <br />Approve Agenda Approve Agenda <br />Mayor Klausing called for any comments or discussion on <br />tonight's Agenda. <br />Councilmember Ihlan noted that, related to Agenda Item $.c <br />entitled, "Request of Councilmember Ihlan: Discuss Adopting <br />Living Wage Requirements for TIF and other Public Subsidy <br />Agreements," that she had invited several presenters to address <br />the City Council at that time. <br />2. Discussion on Redesigning the City's Website City's 'VVebsite <br />Interim City Manager Chris Miller noted that, at the May 15, <br />2006 City Council meeting, the Council affirmed nine newly- <br />established goals for the upcoming year (200b12007), with one of <br />those goals stated: <br />"Continue to research and develop new technologies that will enhance <br />programs and services by either reducing operating costs and/or <br />improving the level of service currently being provided." <br />
