City Council Regular Meeting — 09/11/06 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 5 <br />Ayes: Maschka; Ihlan; Kough; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />3.b Approve Contr�cts/Purehases in Excess of $5,000 Contracts & <br />Councilmember Pust questioned rationale for replacement of Purchases in Excess <br />a specific number of pagers. of $5,000 <br />Interim City Manager Miller reviewed the City's general <br />replacement for Fire Department equipment; and the intent <br />to proactively replace one-quarter of the pagers (15 count) <br />on an annual basis, with the oldest replaced first, and several <br />held in reserve for replacement or lost, or broken equipment. <br />Mr. Miller noted that these were pagers worn continually by <br />fire fighters, and received much wear and tear, and staff had <br />historically determined the number of years available until <br />the end of their dependable and useful life. <br />Maschka moved, Ihlan seconded, approval of general <br />purchases andlor contracts to Bearcom for replacement of <br />15 year old Fire Department pagers, in an amount not to <br />exceed $8,003.48. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Ihlan; Kough; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />3.c Approve Business Licenses Business Licenses <br />Maschka moved, Ihlan seconded, approval of business <br />license applications for the period of one year, for the <br />following applicants: <br />AppiicantlLacatio� T e of License <br />Sally Rogers @ Lifetime Fitness Massage Therapist <br />2480 Fairview Avenue <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Ihlan; Kough; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />3.d Maschka moved, Ihlan seconded, approval of the request of Gambling License <br />the Friends of Roseville Parks to conduct a raffle on Friends of Roseville <br />November 12,2006 at the Holiday Home Tour.
