Appeal Letterto the City ofRoseville
September 1 S, 2006
Page 10
unconventionallydesigned structure that is inconsistentwith the neighborhood cnl which
wouZd not be as aestfetically plasing. It is in the best interests ofthe City to have the Zot
improved with a livable, ay sinIe structure so that another family can call Roseville
home.
While the strict letter of the City Code may not allow for a traditionally designed
home, it is within the power o fthe City CounciZcnl i factspecificaZZyperitiect by the
Code to allow this variance.
The CounciZ couZd deny this request to certain that this parceZ compZies
strictly with the City Code. However, to do so is not necessarily consistent with the
stated objectives o f the Cotnprehnsiv Plan, the interests o f the City, the interests o f the
neighborhoodor with simple P,.4 sense. The Applicantsmerely desire to sell the lot
to a builder or family who will build a relatively modest home having a traditional design
(instead o f a very unique ar whacky triangular shape) which would otherwise be
consistentwith other homes in the neighborhood.
It simpZy alces sense to aZZow the AppZicants'request. Denyingthe request may
be compZiant with the strict Zetter of the Code, b it reaZZy does not ,s.e a Zot of
common sense n the larger scheme of what should be important to the City o f Roseville.
Thus, for the foregoingreasons the Applicants'request should be approved.
Thank you for your time cnl consideration.
Charles Weleczki
Suzanne czc
TIlte
encl.
