City Council Regular Meeting —1 QI0910� <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 6 <br />and opined her confidence that the public's questions would <br />be answered. <br />Mayor Klausing questioned whether Eureka could provide <br />the information in writing as a more efficient way to get the <br />information to the public. <br />Councilmember Ihlan expressed her preference for a brief <br />presentation by Eureka at the next City Council Study <br />Session to make sure the questions of residents are <br />addressed. <br />Councilmember Kough expressed his opposition, along with <br />many residents he'd personally talked to, for weekly <br />collection; and questioned the revenue sharing figures, <br />opining that it looked like a"smokescreen," and sought <br />additional budget information. <br />Discussion included obtaining additional information from <br />Eureka and staff regarding collection amounts, revenue <br />sharing figures, and contract terms; and timing concerns in <br />notifying Eureka as per contract terms for a change in <br />collection frequency and the need to notify Eureka by <br />November 1,2006 for 2007 collection frequency changes. <br />Councilmember Pust expressed concern that the recent <br />article in the Roseville Review read as if she was opposed to <br />weekly collection; and she sought to clarify that she was <br />supportive of weekly collection; however, she had additional <br />questions she wanted answered. <br />Kough moved, Ihlan seconded tabling action on this request, <br />pending a report by Eureka and staff at the October 16, 2006 <br />Study Session. <br />Roll C all <br />Ayes: Kough, Maschka; Ihlan; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Councilmember Maschka requested staff to clarify and <br />provide additional information regarding the $44,000 in <br />
