  '
the future will not be an issue. Cleanup will assist in economic development by
increasing the tax base of the area from nothing to over $50,000 per year. Without this
funding the school district will have a difficult time meeting its local match commitment,
and the tax base for this site will remain at $0 and the building will remain vacant.
Mounds View Independent School District has been woi°kig diligently with Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency, its environmental consultants, the developers, and now the
various funding sources to make this revitalization of its property a reality. The projectis
destined to succeed if funding is received. The developers on board are committed to
completing the project and have indicated as much by executing a purchase agreement
and signing a commitmentletter.
Thank you for your consideration. Please feel free to call me or Daniel Colton from
Leonard, Street and Deinard at 612-335-1836if you have any questions or require
additional information.
Sincerely,
