Under common ordinances, any boats 20 feet or longer in length must be parked
on the side or rear of the lot. The same applies for RV's. The front line
determineswhere these type of vehicles can be stored. (See attached common
ordinances.)
Code 1102.06 - Required Land Improvements (11t}2.06A2 Sfomn Sewers)
Under Grading Plan A, the plat plan discharges storm water into a private
holding pond on the east side of Acom Road. The owner of the pond, Subbiatt
Ramalingam stated that under no circumstanceswill he permit discharge into his
pond. Under Grading Plan B, the storm water flows west to the holding pond
that will become the City of Roseville's liability to maintain. There is r overfiow
or discharge piping to relieve the pond of water,
Under Code 1_1, , 4, 7, Right of ways on local streets shall have a 60
foot right af way (1103.02 Streets), culde-sacs a 60 foot radius (1103.02 Cu(-
de-Sacs), concrete curbing and gutters (1103.02 Curbing), and curb radius not
less than 25 feet (11Q.02 Radius). The plat plan indicates a 50 foot right of
way for local streets, 50 foot radius for the cul-de-sac, the plat drawing has no
curbing and less than 25 foot radius at street intersections. To meet code, the
street must be widened by 10 feet to make a 60 foot right of way and the cti-de-
sac must increase from 50 feet to 60 feet. Both of these changes move the
setback lines. (see plat plan) Under Code 1103.021 Minimum Roadway
Standards -The road way shall be no less than 24' with restrictions, but the right
of way stays the same. Reduction of the cul-de-sac must meet specific criteria
under 1103.021 D, but this plat does not meet the criteria.
The Acom Road neighborhood does not support this type of development and is
supported by signed petitions from surrounding homeowners.
This last remaining area of Roseville was set aside by the City Council almost 12
years ago to preserve this unique small area with the permission of existing
homeowners, almost 100% of whom remain the same today.
As demonstrated i n the attached letter (see letter to the City Council dated
1111511993) the person who so strongly supported the preservation of the
uniqueness of the neighborhood in 1993 is now asking you permission to
destroy it.
For these reasons, we are asking you to deny this development.
arr nd lizabt+ nc.zka
