December 11. 2006
Mayor Craig Klausing and
Members of the Roseville City Council
RE: Possible Subdivision Moratorium
Dear Mayor and Members of the City Council:
I am the owner of the approximately6 acre parcel of land at 3008 and 3010 Cleveland
Avenue in Roseville. In fact my family has owned this land for the better part of the last
century. The property is currently zoned single-family. While I would like to remain on
the property, that is becoming less and less a viable option. It is becoming more difficult
for me to maintain the property. There is also the matter of economic necessity, as the
sale of the property woulc allow me to purchase a townhouse or condominium within the
City that would not require maintenance, and I would still have money left over to
support myself. Frankly, my family and I need to sell the property. We have signed a
purchase agreement with United Properties to sell our land. United Properties needs to
complete the municipal approval process in order to close its purchase of our property.
Although our land is zoned single-family, the City's Comprehensive Plan designates our
land as Business Park with an expectation that our land will develop as multi-family
housing. United will be proposing a development that is consistent with the
Comprehensive Guide Plan and will not be subdividing the site into smallersinglefamily
lots. Since our land is expected to be something other than a single-family subdivision,
we ask that we be excluded from the moratorium being considered.
Thank you for your attention to our concerns. As life long Roseville residents, my family
and I hope that you are able to accommodate us in our request.
Sincerely

Ruth Partridge '
Cc: John Stark
Chris Miller
