8.2 Residents: The Community Development Department has estimated that with 730 new homes, <br />there will be an estimated 1,100to 1,350new residents when Phase 1 is fully constructed and <br />sold. The 2001 plan projected less than half this number of new residents in the same area. <br />8.3 Jobs: The Community Development Department has estimated that the office and retail <br />developments will create a total of approximately 1,000 jobs generating an estimated $61,000 <br />dollars per office job and $35,000 per retaiUservice job. This equates to $24 million in annual <br />office wages and $ 21 million in annual retaiVsezvice wages, for a total of $45 million in new <br />wages (unadjusted for inflation). These projections are estimated based upon the same <br />calculations used in the 2001 Master Plan.
