January 5,2005
From: Tim Whitten, Rottlund Homes (via email)
Dennis,
I am having Lois send you this list of comments regarding a site plan option. These
are the Impacts to the option to lower Twin Lakes Parkway to the south:
Reduces the number of Housing units which impacts the financial
viability of the overall project.
2. Eliminates opportunity for a portion of neighborhood retail to be
placed adjacent to the Town Square, the main identity of our mixed-use
community.
3. Removes opportunity for a strong intersection and /or roundabout at
the Town Square.
4. Would increase parking mass adjacent to the housing.
5. Could bring Retail closer to Langton Lake Park.
Just a general observation: The proposed Twin Lakes Parkway and Housing are no
closer to the Park than the existing truck parking lot and industrial building. If a
buffer is the concern, then additional landscaping would be an effective option.
Thank you.
Tim Whitten
tmwhitten@rottlundhomes. com
