Single Family Request for Proposal (RFP) <br />Application Guide and Instructions <br />Thank you for your interest in the Single Family RFP Programs. <br />In this Request for Proposal you will find various programs (Community Revitalization Fund, Building <br />Better Neighborhoods, and Local Investment Incentive Account) offered from a variety of limited <br />funding sources for housing providers to help address housing needs in a county f community or <br />neighborhood. <br />MHFA also offers a variety of separate community-based programs on an ongoing basis. Within this <br />Guide are brief summaries of those programs. You may apply far these programs at any time during <br />the year. To request an application and additional information for an ongoing program, please call or <br />e-mail the program contact listed under each ongoing program description. The ongoing program <br />applications are not included in this RFP packet. <br />Please read through the Request for Proposal package so that you are familiar with the programs that <br />are offered, the specific program guidelines, criteria and limits. Once you have read through the RFP, <br />only complete the specific program application(s) and required attachments for programs for which <br />you are requesting funds. Regardless of the program you are applying for, you must complete the <br />Single Family Combined Programs - Request for Proposal (RFP) Application Cover Sheet found on <br />pages 8 and 9. <br />A hard copy of your application including required attachments must be received by the Minnesota <br />Housing Finance Agency, 400 Sibley St., Suite #3b0, St Paul, MN 55101, no later than 5:00 p.m. on <br />Monday, February 7,2005. Submitted applications will be reviewed by a selection committee in March <br />and presented to the Board of Directors for funding in Apri12005. Notification of funding awards will <br />be posted on MHFA's website at the end of April 2005. <br />Please refer to the Section "Important Dates and Submission Information" located on page six for <br />submission requirements. <br />The Family Housing Fund, the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund (GMHF), the Metropolitan Council, <br />the Minnesota Department of Corrections (MNDOC) and the Minnesota xousing Finance Agency <br />(MHFA) have joined together in this Single Family Request For Proposal (RFP) to provide "one-stop <br />shopping" for funds and/or assistance available to address the need for single family, owner-occupied <br />affordable housing statewide. <br />The intent of "one-stop shopping" is to: <br />Allow applicants to apply for multiple programs at one time by coordinating resources made <br />available by the various funding partners previously mentioned. <br />Provide communities the opportunity to comprehensively address their single family, awner- <br />occupied housing needs. <br />Since each funding source is different, please refer to the individual program concept/applications for <br />the specific list of eligible applicants. <br />
