The NSCC is a consortium of ten (10) cities including Roseville; and is
responsible for administering and enforcing the cable franchise agreement and providing the
means for public access to cable television for its member cities.
The NSCC is currently evaluating its information technology (IT) support function and how best
to structure that function for the foreseeable future. The NSCC has expressed an interest in
securing part-time IT support from the City of Roseville for a period of time to allow the NSCC
to complete its evaluation,
Discussion Items
The City of Roseville currently employs four full-time employees to administer the information
systems of Roseville and other partnering organizations. The proposed Services Agreement with
the NSCC is similar to the agreements with these other partnering organizations.
In an effort to ensure adequate information technology support, the NSCC wishes to engage the
City of Roseville in a Support Services Agreement for a period of approximately 6 months. Staff
believes that the City of Roseville can provide the technical support desired by the NSCC
without compromising services to Roseville.
The attached Support Services Agreement has been approved by the NSCC and is awaiting
approval from the Roseville City Council.
Budget Impact
The proposed amount of $1,500 per month will be sufficient to cover the City's added service
costs.
Council Action Requested
Approve the attached Support Services Agreement with the NSCC for the purposes of providing
information technology support.
