On October 14, 1998, a Petition for Sewer Sersrice was initiated by ciic.ens living in
the lackfish Bay area. In response, the County retained the engineering%rn of Ayres
Associates to complete a facility plan. Ayres Associates Cavc cxtcnsivc cxpericnce in
sewer design. Mr,Glaver evaluated the various options including contin.nce of on-site septic systems,
holding tanks and etralized sewer, and recommended a centralied pressure sewer
system be constructed, which is consistent with the existing East Koochiching
Collection Systexn (East Kooch), which is located adjacentto and west ofthe proposed
project arca.
1- A ecntralized sewer sys,tcm is the best long-term solution for #eaii.tag sewage fuent in
this s
12.
