City Council Regular Meeting — O1/31/05 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 3 <br />C. Eugene Bahnemann, 2656 N Lexington Avenue <br />Mr. Bahnemann expressed his disappointment that <br />Councilmembers and Mayor Klausing were not in <br />attendance at the recent public reception recognizing the <br />retirement of Bill Olein after thirty-two (32) years of <br />service to the City of Roseville's Parks and Recreation <br />Department. Mr. Bahnemann expressed his personal <br />appreciation to Mr. Olein for his years of service to the <br />community. <br />Mayor Klausing noted for Mr. Bahnemann's benefit that he <br />had a job-related conflict and was unable to attend the <br />public ceremony, but that he had spoken personally with <br />Mr. Olein and offered his congratulations and appreciation, <br />along with his apology for being unable to make the public <br />reception. <br />Councilmember Kough noted that he had also had a job- <br />related conflict and was unable to attend the public <br />ceremony, but suggested that a public recognition of Mr. <br />Olein take place at a future Council meeting. <br />D. John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn opined his perceptions related to Mr. <br />Lambert's comments and the opinions expressed by Mr. <br />Lambert on behalf of the Roseville Citizen's League. Mr. <br />Kysylyczyn also suggested that the City Council seek <br />more-detailed information related to practices of other <br />government bodies and their public comment policies. <br />Mayor Klausing <br />Mayor Klausing apologized for tonight's delayed meeting <br />start, noting that the City Council had met in Closed <br />Executive Session prior to the public meeting; and asked <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson to provide a brief summary <br />of that closed meeting. <br />E.
