By waiving the statutory limit, <br />there is no limit on the settlement a claitnant(s) may receive. <br />Financial Implications <br />Waiving the statutory limit will increase the policy premium and increase the amount of <br />settlement a claimant(s} may receive. <br />Staff Recommendations <br />Staff is recommending that the City Council does not waive the monetary limits on municipal <br />tort liability established by Minnesota Statute 466.04. <br />Council Action <br />Motion to approve not waiving the monetary limits on municipal tort liability established by <br />Minnesota Statutes 466.04. <br />
