The site, at which the burn is being requested, is a private residence. The <br />owners are requestinga burn permitto burn the Native Flowerbed on theirown.The <br />area of the burn is approximately ten feet by three feet. <br />2.2 Timinq" To conduct the safest burn and gain the greatest ecological benefit <br />durina this point in their establishment of the native plantin�s. the residents <br />requeSt fihe following window for the Burn Permit: <br />• April 1 through May 31, 2005. This amount of time will allow for flexibilityto <br />choose the safest and most ecologically beneficial day for a fire. <br />Staff Recommendation. <br />3.1 (t is the staff's recommendation that the City Council authorize the Fire Marshal to <br />issue a Burn Permit to John Dittrich, owner and resident at 2132 Cohansey Blvd. to <br />conduct the prescribed burn at 2132 Cohansey Blvd. The permit would be for the <br />period of April 1 through May 31, 2005. The purpose of the permit is to allow a <br />prescribed burn on native plantings. <br />Suggested Council Action. <br />4.1 By motion, authorizethe Fire Marshal to issue a Burn Permit to John Dittrich, owner <br />and resident of 2132 Cohansey Blvd, to allow a prescribed burn on native plantings <br />in an area approximately 30 square feet total. The burn area is located at 2132 <br />Cohansey Blvd. and is bordered by mowed lawn on all sides. <br />4.2 The following conditions are recommendedfor approval: <br />a� The effective date of the permit shall be from April 1 through May 31, 2005. <br />1�) The burn shall be conducted only if the winds are 10 mph or less; and, <br />�� Resident shall notify the Roseville Fire Department at least two days <br />in advance of the date of the burn. <br />Attachments: Letter of request from John Dittrich <br />Prepared by John L,oftus, Fire Marshal <br />
