I think it is important understand why <br />rules in the past were developed or changed so we can determine where we want to go in the future. In <br />addition, it is important to know what we need for basic rules and can look back to determine what we <br />think is important (i.e. not re-invent the wheel so to speak). Neal please include this in the packet for the <br />special meeting on Feb 19th. <br />Roseville City Council <br />2002-2003 Standing Rules and Procedures <br />(Approved January 7,2002) <br />Rule 1—Adoption and Amendment of Rules <br />These rules shall be in effect for the 2002-2003 biennium. Any proposed amendments to the rules shall <br />he made in writing and adopted by resolution of the City Council. These rules maybe suspended by a <br />simple maj ority of the full Council. <br />This rule was revised ner citvAttornev. <br />Rule 2 — Meeting <br />Meetings of the City Council shall be held at City Hall. Work sessions will begin at 5:30pm, with regular <br />meetings held at 7:OOpm. Appropriate notice and agenda information shall be posted on the City Hall <br />bulletin board, Web site, and government access cable television. <br />The City Manager will be responsible for notifying all Council members and the public of special <br />meetings called pursuant to state law. <br />Regular meetings of the Council shall be broadcast live on government access cable TV bat-ring technical <br />difficulties where delayed broadcast may substitute.
