The City Attorney shall assist Councilmembers .� . <br />in determining whether they have a conflict of interest. <br />7. Lateness of the Hour. <br />a. The City Council will not take up a new item of <br />business after 10 o'clockp.m. CST, except as ex- <br />pressly permitted by a 4 f 5'smajority vote of the en- <br />tire Council. <br />b. In addition, all Council meetings will conclude on or <br />before 11 p.m. CST; items not completed prior to 11 <br />�.m_ will be taken up at a subsequent Council meet� <br />ing. <br />8. Council Liaison Assignments. <br />a. The Council may appoint one or more of its mem- <br />bers to serve as liaisons with outside boards, asso- <br />ciations, or similar organizations such as School <br />Districts 623 and 62I., the North Suburban Cable <br />Commission, and the Ramsey County League of Lo- <br />ca1 Governments. <br />b. Council Liaisons should keep other Cou.ncilmem- <br />bers and staff generally informed about the key ac- <br />tivities and positions of the group or groups to <br />which they are assigned. <br />9. Effectiveness of Ru.�es. <br />a. These Rules shall become effective upon adoption <br />by the City Council and shall remain in effective un- <br />til expressly suspended, amended, or repealed by <br />subsequent motion, resolution, or ordinance of the <br />City Council. <br />.l <br />..� <br />� <br />
