The following guidelines and requirements apply to requests for consideration of proclamations: a. The persan{sj or organization making the request ��ust submit a completed Application Requesting a Ci�y Proclamation and submit a copy of the proposed proclamation. The request should be made at least two weeks in advance of the requested Council meeting. c. The Mayor, City Manager andlc�r staffdesignee will determine �� th� proposed proclamation meets the intent ofthis policy. When there is u�leeirtaii�t� in making this determination, the Mayor will consult with the City Council Committee ofthe Whole for its guidance. The Council will not make more than two proclamations at one Council Meeting e. The City retains the right to modify, edit, or otherwise amend the proposed proclaination to meet its requirements, needs, or policy determinations. The City retains the right to decide if the proclamation will or will not be issued. g. Once approved, the proclamation will be included on the appropriate Council agenda. h If not approved, the applicant will be notified of the decision and the reason(s) for the decision. 10.
