tough, just to name a few. It happens everywhere: your local grocery store,
gas station, restaurant, school and probably even your own home. The
reasons are many but the bottom line is this: it is easy to discriminate, but
never is it right.
Why do humans discriminate? There seems to be many reasons that
discinunation is such a cainmon practice, but the main reason seems to be -
that it is much easier to discriminate than to stand up for someone who may
be discriminated against. As Americans we seemed to have become so
spoiled that we are too lazy to stand up for what is right for the mere reason
that it is harder than going along with what we 1now to be wrong. It is for
this reason that discrimination has become such a large problem in present
society.
Discrimination of all linds needs to stop. We need to break out of the
hard shell and start a new and right trend of stopping discrimination. It is
important to recognize when someone is being treated unfairly and put
yourself in their shoes. As humans we need to put relationships aside for a
moment and take a step back to analyze the situation. Ask yourself: how
would i feel? We need to express our opinions and iake the extra anoun of
energy and courage to stop this insanity.
