T -06 - ne
TEST METHODS
Our monitoring was performed with a Larson-Davis Laboratories Mode1700 Sound L,evel Meter
with calibration traceable to NIST. This equipment meets the equipment specifications for a Type
II Meter (ANSI 51.4-1983}. The A-Weighting Network on fast mode was used for all of ow
monitoring. The A-weightingnetwork attempts to duplicate the ear's sensitivity by discriminating
against low frequencynoise since humans are muc zante sensitiveto noise with a higher frequency.
At each location, the meter was placed at the required height above the surface. Care was taken to
avoid as much error as possible caused by reflecting obj ects or srfaces. The monitor was placed
down wind fram the noise source.
We remained in the vicinity of the monitoring locations during the monitoringperiod to document
specific events which resulted in readings above the normal noise levels.
. ,.
This data is for informational purposes only and was not performed for any one particular set of
regulations or local ordinance standards.
The raw noise data will be retained in our file aald is available to you on request.
