Gov. Molnau,
Date: 02/28/OS
Item: 6.
Snelling Median Closure
First, thank you for meeting with us on February 2,2005 to discuss MnDOT's closure of the me-
dian crossover at Snelling and Oakcarest in Roseville. We appreciate your time and your con-
cern.
Next, we would like to repeat the arrangement discussed at that meeting. Here is our under-
standing of the arrangement:
For safety reasons, MnDOT will not agree to reopen the Snelling-
Oakcrest median crossover fully and permanently. But if the Roseville Coun-
cil commits to funding a city project to improve access to the James Addition
Neighborhood, then MnDOT will reopen the Snelling-Oakcrest median to al-
low left-turn only movements across the Snelling median into the neighbor-
hood. This partial reopening would be temporary; MnDOT would close
again the Snelling median at Oakcrest once the City's access project in the
JamesAddition Neighborhood is completed.
ff we have inadvertently omitted something from this description, please let us
know.
In the meantime, we will bring this issue to the full Council on February 28,2005.
Roseville staff will keep Frank Pafko apprised of any further developments from the
city's side.
Again, thank you for taking the tine to meet with us
Very truly yours,
Roseville Councilmembers
. - -
 4
.t. ;
r j
Dean Maschka 'ti-i7ti f171ri Tcn FCo-51=
cc: Frank Pafko
2660 Civic Center Drive Roseville,Minnesota SSll3
651-792-ROSE TDD 651-792-7399 snvw.ci.roseville.mn.us
