City Council Regular Meeting — 04/25/OS
DRAFT Minutes - Page 18
One Mailed Notice of the Proposal and Information on How to
Appeal a Decision of the Variance Board at least 10 days prior to
the Hearing."
Roll Call
Ayes: Ihlan, Maschka, Schroeder, Kough and Klausing.
Nays: None.
7. Twin Lakes Term Sheet
Councilmember Ihlan expressed concern that the documents
related to this item and the following were not received until
Friday evening, allowing the City Council limited time for
review of a complex document.
Ihlan moved, Kough seconded, tabling this item until a future
meeting to allow more review and consideration by the City
Council.
Roll Call
Ayes: Ihlan and Kough.
Nays: Maschka, Schroeder and Klausing.
Motion failed.
Harlan Smith, 1706 Ryan Ave.
Mr. Smith opined that this issue was being "railroaded."
Mayor Klausing disagreed with Councilmember Ihlan's
comments; opining that the term sheet provided more detail and
incorporated the comments of the City Council at the previous
meeting where they had initially reviewed the document.
Community Development Director Dennis Welsch introduced
the City's Development Attorney Jim Casserly and his Assistant,
Gay Reiter with Krass Monroe, for their review of the changes to
the document.
Further discussion ensued with Councilmember Ihlan reiterating
her concerns that the requested action was moving too quickly,
with City Council still needing to determine specific policy
issues; and Mayor Klausing reiterating the process to-date and
incremental steps outlined by the City Council previously, as
consistent throughout the review of the Twin Lakes
Resolution
Twin Lakes
Term Sheet
