City Council Regular Meeting— 04/25/OS <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 17 <br />welcomed public comment tonight or at any time in the future. <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment at this time. <br />John Abler <br />Mr. Abler questioned the Association's need to remove some of <br />the essential buoys for the course after their use, requesting that <br />they leave the buoys for public use on a public recreational lake. <br />Mr. Youngquist responded that the buoys were removed as a <br />safety issue, in accordance with the Association's insurance <br />policy; noting that leaving them there would raise additional <br />hazards. Mr. Youngquist availed himself to discuss Mr. Abler <br />concerns in further detail. <br />Mayor Klausing closed the Public Hearing at 8:2� p.m. <br />Councilmember Kough spoke in support of the motion; noting <br />that the Club's safety record spoke for itself. <br />Maschka moved, Kough seconded, approval of the Lake Owasso <br />Safe Boating Association's request for permit from the Ramsey <br />County Sheriff to place a water ski course and water ski jump on <br />Lake Qwassa for the 2005 season. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan, Maschka, Schroeder, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />6. Consider City Code Revisions relating to Variance Board <br />Hearing Notices (PF 3634) <br />Community Director Dennis Welsch briefly summarized <br />recommendations of the City's Variance Board related to City <br />Code, Section 1014.04, B4, providing for one written notice to <br />property owners within 350 feet, rather than sending <br />individualized notices before and AFTER the meeting. <br />Maschka moved, Schroeder seconded, approval and enactment <br />of Ordinance No. entitled, "An Ordinance Amending Title 10 of <br />the City Code, Section �014,Q4B4 by Revising the Requirements <br />for Notice of Final Decision by the Variance Board to allow for <br />Ordinance 1320 <br />Variance Board <br />Hearing Notices <br />(PF 3634) <br />
