Mayor Klausing advised that the City Council had reviewed the preliminary plans that included a pathway portion. City Manager Beets confirmed that a pathway was proposed along the entire reconstructed South awassa Boulevard from Rice to Dale Streets; pending fmal approval from and fmal bid award by the City Council; with the project proposed for completion in 2006. Kristen Sando, Langton Lake Area Resident Ms. Sando demonstrated her opposition to the proposed Twin Lakes Redevelopment Project and use of public monies for private developers with a silver platter and several personal illustrations of the better use of public funds for safety services and programs. Sheila Cunningham-McComb, 3092 Mt. Ridge Rd. N Ms. Cunningham-McComb provided an overhead illustrating wage comparisons and economic impacts on neighborhoods, families and the City of Roseville; encouraging the City Council to think about their vision from the standpoint as a citizen and analysis of cost� benefits versus risks related to strategic planning. Ms. Cunningham-McComb used a recent Roseville Review article quoting Councilmember Maschka that "Roseville is Retail;" and encouraged the Council to see Roseville from a different perspective such as park and recreation amenities as being more vital than "big box" retail. Ms. Cunningham-McComb recognized the complexity of the Twin Lakes issue, but opined that the vision came from the developer, not the Roseville City Council or citizens; further opining that the developer should have followed the Master Plan as set forth by the community.
