City Council Regular Meeting— OS/23/OS <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 15 <br />Councilmember Kough spoke in support of the motion; and <br />encouraged inclusion of ineetings and or correspondence <br />with Senators Dayton and Coleman. <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment at this time. <br />John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn spoke in opposition to the proposed <br />motion, opining that it would make the City look foolish <br />citing no past practice by IV��U4T for freeway extension <br />lanes in only one direction; lack of focus on highest <br />congestion points on Highway 36; lack of involvement in <br />decision-making in transportation funding by the <br />legislature; and previous recommendations by the I-35W <br />Corridor Coalition for such a proposal, and lack of <br />Roseville City Council interest in working with the <br />Coalition. Mr. Kysylyczyn advised that, if the City <br />Council adopted such a resolution, he would provide his <br />historical perspective and comments as well. <br />At approximately 7:00 p.m., Mayor Klausing interrupted <br />this agenda item for presentation of Girl Scout awards. <br />5. Recognitions, Donations, Communications <br />S.b Recognize Roseville Girl Scout Gold Award Winners: <br />Amelia Anderson, Audrey Banner, Michelle Johnson, <br />Bernice Prigge-Rodriguez, Kelly Westlund, and Jessica <br />Wilson <br />City Manager Beets invited each participant forward in <br />alphabetical order and read their individual <br />accomplishments. <br />On behalf of the City Council, staff and citizens, Mayor <br />Klausing presented the Gold Award Proclamations to <br />Roseville Girl Scout Gold Award Winners: Amelia <br />Anderson, Audrey Banner, Michelle Johnson, Bernice <br />Prigge-Rodriguez, Kelly Westlund, and Jessica Wilson; <br />Recognitions, <br />Donations, <br />Communications <br />Girl Scout Gold <br />Award Winners <br />
