City Council Reg�lar Meeting — 06/20/05 <br />DRAFT Mi�utes - Page 9 <br />final report and authorizing staff to pursu� <br />recommendations o� the Tasl� Force at tonight's meeting. <br />Mayor K�ausing polled the Council as to their com�ort �evel <br />in directing staff to pursue recommendatians o� the Task <br />Force and to return to �he City Council with any budget ar <br />policy-related items; with the CounciX consensus being <br />affiz-mative. <br />Maschka moved, Ihlan seconded, directing staff to make <br />recommendations to fhe City Council �'or establishment of <br />an Advisory Group as recommended by the QVAL Task <br />Force; and ta return with the �VAL Task Force Final <br />Report io the City Council at the next regular Council <br />meeting to allaw Councilmembers further review o� the <br />report. <br />Ro�l Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Ih�an; Schroed�r; Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />S.b Consider Awarding a Contiract �o Repair and �mprove <br />the OVAL <br />Councilmember Maschka opined tha� the City Council and <br />residents would continue to see work of the Advisory group <br />and ongozng status arepo�rts of the Oval; and �xpressed his <br />confidence in the Parks and Recreation Commission, Task <br />Force Advisory Group, and user groups as they transitioned <br />and studie� the implementation recammendations of the <br />Task Force. <br />Mz-. Brokl<e noted that staff, and the Advisory group, <br />intended ta keep the City Council involved every step of <br />the way; recognizing that there would be certain <br />administrative items that staff wo�ld be handling. <br />Discussion included whether or nat ta accept the Ova� Task <br />Force Final Repor�, or wait until the next regular business <br />meeiing at the request of Councilmember Kough. <br />Scott Nelson, Vice Chair, 4val Ta�k Force <br />Mr. Nelsan opined that ihe gift from the Guidant <br />Awarding a <br />Contrac� to Repair <br />and Improve the <br />OVAL <br />
