Denard referenced the recent newspaper po�l <br />and responses, and asked the City Council not to go against <br />the wishes of ihe citizens. <br />Gale Pedearsan, 929 W Roselawn Avenue <br />Ms. Pederson addressed �he need to clean up �he <br />cantaminated proper�y, not �just b�ight, but a knawn and <br />identified carcinagen. Ms. Pederson, while not in <br />agreement with the project in its entirety, no�ed the 730 <br />housing units offered in th� develapment, in addition to <br />other amenities and redevelopmen�t o� the entire area. Ms. <br />Pedersan opin�d that her main concern was in cleaning up <br />con�aminants along the lake and park to eliminate pot�ntial <br />health hazards and for ben�fits far future generations. Ms. <br />Pederson asked citizens ta look at the positives, nat jusi the <br />negatives, and opined that truck badies do not make good <br />natural habitat. <br />Tim Koteclu, 3078 Mount Ridge Road <br />Mr. Kotecki reviewcd statistics and demographics he had <br />researched related to existing r�tail in the area. Mr. Kotecki <br />summarized his concerns by asking if citizens wanted to <br />invest fheir future tax dollars far additional retail <br />d�velopm�nt; and respectfi.illy asked the City Council to <br />vote "no" on the financing proposal for this project. <br />Craig Christenson, 2585 Wheeler Avenue <br />Mr. Christenson opined that he didn't support TIF; and �hat <br />whi�e he could support a p��ojec�, no� necessarily this one. <br />Mr. Christenson referenced E�ibit Q related to the <br />LEADS process and rating system; questioned whether the <br />proposed languag� was enforceable; questioned ite�ns <br />related ta the State Energy Code and the less-stringent <br />commercial than residen�ial code. Mr. Christenson <br />addressed 1ig11i pollution and prc�vided City Manager Beets <br />with a copy af a printout from the "Dark Sky Association" <br />
